New Year, new schedule.

For those who know me I am obsessed with organization and scheduling.
It is true.
I recognize it,
I've accepted it,
I thrive on it.

This week I started my new super schedule.
It includes a weekly menu,
serious museum hours,
serious work hours,
devotional and service hours,
and exercise hours.

Notice they are all hours - that is on purpose my fellow crazies.

I need to make a few adjustments - for Saturday mostly - but I REALLY loved this week.
I felt really good,
I had a lot of energy,
and I was incredibly productive.

I liked it a lot.

One of the things I started this week was "Running with Rosie".
Rosie and I go on a run three times a week.
This week, on one of our 6:30am runs Rosie ran into a snowman while we were running.
She flipped out so bad that she tried to bolt across the street.
Unfortunately she was tied to my waist and we were running on ice.

Not my best moment.

On the way back I took this picture near her snowman.

This time she was more curious than afraid.

Saturday was fantastic.
I scratched the schedule because I didn't like what I had planned for Saturday.

Cita and I started with a drive up the canyon and I brought my new camera.

It was a gorgeous morning but frigid!

After being more productive for the rest of the day,
Cita, Padre and I dropped by Waffle Love to say hi to the jen bug and have some waffles.

They were PHENOMENAL.
There are not words.

They were so good we have decided to instigate a new tradition.

WAFFLE WEEKEND
Every weekend we will visit the jen bug and eat a delicious waffle.

After waffle weekend we decided to head over to the mens volleyball game rather than the basketball game.

It was a BLAST!!!

So, excellent week.

Things are going to change...

It being the second day of the new year,
I solemnly swear that I will post more and not have as many "photo catch-up" posts.
Seriously, it is a new year resolution of mine, especially now that school and Project 52 are coming to a close.

I promise...after this post.

Let us see...
There was a GREAT football game, BYU vs. Boise State, with Grandpa and Bug.

Halloween with the chillins!

I borrowed Hunter's wig to be Black Widow from the Avengers.
(when she had long hair)

In return I made Hunter into a comic book character.

Deruda wanted a wig as well.

the little Juan, the Padre, and Deruda played one last game of backyard golf before Deruda left for the MTC.

Since he left a week before Thanksgiving we had a "fake Thanksgiving" that Sunday with all the familia.
Lizzie and Tyler got re-acquainted with Rosie.

Dropping off Deruda at the MTC!

We left straight from the MTC to the airport so I could go to my first professional conference to present a paper in Baltimore, MD!

The second day I was there we ditched the conference and went to the museums in Washington, DC.

At the National Gallery I saw some of my favorite paintings!

We found A TON of squirrels and Mariana fed them nuts from her bag.

MARVELOUS day but super exhausting.

On the shores of the Potomac River.

On our last night we went to the Baltimore bay and ate at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Shack.
(from Forrest Gump)

Here, we acted like the sillies we are and pretended to be shrimp.
:)

After dinner I got some socks in the gift shop that said "Run Forrest Run".
I think they may become my running socks for races.

Just 4 weeks later we took Stephie to the MTC.
One week before Christmas.

Tyler was teaching Grandpa proper "foot-popping" techniques.

I had a back-ache.
So I got out my handy, and very old, rice sock.
...and FILLED the basement with smoke.

Apparently rice socks can go bad and try to kill you.
Who knew?

The little Juan and Morgan came up for Christmas and we decided to see the lights at Temple Square.

It was a really fun evening.

Well, technically a lot more has been going on over the last few months but there is a basic summary.

There you go!
